Emils new solo album featuring solo piano works by Chopin is released on May 2nd.
The album is titled CHOPIN: 24 Preludes & Sonata No. 2, and it consists of Chopin’s twenty-four preludes Op. 28 and the Piano Sonata No. 2 Op. 38.
The two pieces are performed on a a remarkable historical instrument — an original and masterfully restored Érard piano built in France in 1837 — the same year the two works were composed, offering a rare insight on the sound of those times.
The album captures the magical acoustics of the concert hall of The Royal Danish Academy of Music, using cutting-edge sound recording methology.
The album will be available on all major digital streaming platforms in Stereo, and in Dolby Atmos 3D sound on selected platforms such as Tidal.
