Emil and violinist Benedikte Damgaard are excited to share the news that they are recording the three sonatas for violin and piano by Edvard Grieg.

The recording production is made with support from the Augustinus Foundation and Solistforeningen af 1921.

Emil will be a judge in the Danish Steinway Piano Competition, which takes place in Aarhus Concert Hall on May 14th. More

In July-August 2022 Emil will appear at a couple of classical music summer festivals:

Nordisk Kammermusikfestival in Hillerød, Denmark – solo recital 27/7, programme including Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition.

Odsherred Kammermusikfestival, Denmark, 31/7-5/8 – a series of chamber music concerts with various musicians.

Together with the Artos String Quartet and tenor Jens Krogsgaard, Emil will present a varied programme including Beethoven’s song cycle An die ferne Geliebte, the piano sonata op. 110, and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ song cycle On Wenlock Edge, which will be performed at two festivals:

May 13 at Søholm Kammermusikweekend, Samsø, Denmark

May 23 at Artos Festival, Aarhus, Denmark

One of the highlights of the 21-22 season will be an appearance as a soloist with South Denmark Philharmonic in Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto no. 1 on January 27th in the Alsion Concert Hall, Sonderborg.
